Yes, I had to fix the network code to. This is the first time I've heard of someone else getting it to work on Linux, congratulations! >However I noted you have so many shiny things on disk and even >working (inquir, pword, odl humor, many other old files) which don't >work or are not existant on the PI image. My question is whether >there's an easy way for me to have them, too? Most of the stuff that's not from the PI image I got from the AI shutdown archive at http://www.its.os.org/, some small stuff (mostly dec info files) I've found by searching the web, even less is newly written by current users of the system (game of life and tetris, web server, etc). If there's any particular file you can't find elsewhere, you can just FTP if from SV, but for the bulk of it you're better off finding it somewhere with a better network connection; I still have only a 56k dialup :( >BTW, are you sure you know what you're doing by exposing a ITS COMSAT >to the net? It does relay, doesn't it? Yes, I'm aware of that; it's fairly high in the top of my list of things needed to be done (http://its.svensson.org/hack%3bwish%20list); unfortumately I have't yet got enough grasp of the comsat code to figure out exactly how to attack that problem. I'm keeping an eye on the telemetry file, but so far I haven't seen any attemtps at abuse. >I installed ITS because I'm interested in old operating systems. >I've not seen ITS in real operation and my experience with it is only >two weeks (though I'm proud to already have figured out how to patch >the comsat tcpgat symbol and repurify it). Deep knowledge of ITS I don't posses, but I'm more than willing to help with what little I can. :) /Paul
